Seek, and you shall find.
Is it really that simple? Maybe.
Over the years, I’ve sought love, wealth, beauty, and status. And at different points in my life, I believed I had found each. But the feeling of fulfillment never lasted- sometimes just a few hours or maybe days, sometimes months, maybe a year or two and then it would fade. Looking back, I now see what stayed was a sense of confusion…. and more seeking.
At one point, I used to think I was just seeking the wrong things. But now I wonder if, underneath it all, I was just really seeking to feel whole. ✨
Wholeness is that deep, grounded peace that most of us innately feel and know can’t be found in surface-level achievements. It can’t be bought or chased. It has to be experienced.
Maybe that’s what mystics like Rumi, St. Teresa of Avila, Rabia al-Adawiyya, Guru Nanak, and Lao Tzu were pointing to: A way of being where Love, Abundance, and Beauty aren’t things we strive for- they become the ground we walk on.
I’m still human and seeking will be part of my nature, yet I now seek differently. ✨
I seek love— not the fairy tale kind I grew up with, but the kind that Rumi writes of- the kind that dissolves the self and opens the soul.
I seek wealth in slow mornings, deep conversations, and eyes that meet mine with Truth.
I seek beauty in the spaces between, in the people I cherish.
And I’ve let go of any idea of status. It was never mine to hold anyway.
On this new path, the quality of my experiences has shifted; they feel more grounded, and less fleeting. Even what I once considered small or ordinary moments now hold a quiet richness.
And in those moments where I fully show up with honesty, depth, and presence, it truly feels like a kind of wholeness. ✨
So yes, what you seek, you will find.
But perhaps the real question is: Are you seeking from the surface… or from the soul?
